Continuing our nuclear theme this week, I thought it might be interesting to
showcase some of the most amazing images of destruction that man and nature
have ever devised.

Destruction can often be eerily beautiful. It can also remind us of how fragile
our existence is and how we mustn’t take it for granted. Below, in no particular

Actually, modern weapons are smaller. Back in the day planners couldn’t be sure of dropping a warhead right on target, so they needed a multimegaton blast to be sure of destroying the target even if they missed by half a mile. With the improved accuracy of modern delivery systems, much less “boom” is needed to get the same result.

Insane pictures! Hehe and those were from the 1950’s… I wonder if the amount of force and destruction has increased in the atom bombs of today? Maybe well find out soon enough ey ?!? … creepy!
